Just a quick word of thanks to all those who were able to make it to the Christmas Eve services this past Sunday. It was the busiest Sunday we've enjoyed together in a long time!
We began with Christmas songs & Scripture at Proclaim. Our fourth advent candle (the candle of love) helped prepared our children for the Lord's return. During the sermon, we recapped Matthew's account of the Gospel thus far, and concluded chapter 14. Did you realize it only took us four weeks to cover chapter 14 at "Warp Speed Suite 100"? ;)
By early Sunday evening our Restore families were in service! Special thanks to those who participated in Restoring Christmas Eve to Our First Responders! The Tuesday Family provided Christmas goodies to staff & care personnel at Hill Country Memorial Hospital, and the Monday & Wednesday families provided gift cards, supper, songs and a short sermon during the candle light service at the Fire Station.
Sunday night was a beautiful time of worship at Suite 100. Unfortunately, some of our church family had out of town plans, and, sadly, others were ill. (Praise God the Traugotts have turned a corner!) But any seats that would've been empty were filled by our siblings from Fredericksburg Christian Fellowship. It was a blessing to join in worship with Pastor Cody and his church family as we celebrated the birth of our Lord in Scripture & song. Thanks to all those who played a part in decorating, in song, in lighting, in reading, in... so many ways! And a special thanks to Dawna McAfee for working with our little ones who did a terrific job with "What Child Is This".
As we prayerfully discussed at December's First Wednesday Prayer & Devotion, with the new building the Lord has provided comes a lot of responsibility, and, Lord willing, a lot more opportunities to minister, too. Suite 100 is another tool. How would He have us utilize it to Christ's glory in 2018? If you haven't already been praying about it, start now, and join others this Wednesday at January's FWPD.
